Reminder: Teacher Only Day on Monday 2 March

Just a reminder that school is closed to students on Monday 2 March as it is a teacher only day.

Also, on Monday after school, parents are invited to hear Katherine Burkett run a seminar from 5pm to 8pm - she is a neuroscientist who is sharing her expertise on children's behaviours.  The seminar is at the school auditorium.

Weekly Reminders

Week 4 already! Week 1 of course, was only 1 day. 

Please bring your hats everyday and apply sunscreen before school. There is sunscreen available and time is built into the day for students to re-apply their sunblock.

There is Water Safety for Life swimming lesson on Tuesday. The regular timetable for swimming is on hold, so Room 11 are only swimming Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Year 3s and Year 4s can swim at lunchtime on Tuesdays.

It is litterless lunch check from the Green Team on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Room 11 is aiming to win the Cloakbay Award, so please zip those bags, straighten those shoes every time you are in the Cloakbay.  The class gets hot chips if we win. It is Whole School Assembly on Friday, so let's go for it!

Chromebook Assembly!

Year 3s were delighted with the arrival of their Chromebooks on Friday morning. Here is a photo of the students waiting patiently to open their Chromebook parcels.  The students logged in, and got to explore Maths May Do digital options. 

Soccer Taster Lesson

Room 11 participated in the Soccer Taster lesson on Monday.  The coaches set up a quick games which tested agility and ensured students were paying attention to their teammates who needed to be un-tagged, and then there was a quick game of football in two halves of the inflatable pitch.

Welcome students and parents to a new school year in Room 11, 2020! I am looking forward to a great year with you all.  I had a lovely summer break with my family, enjoying the sunshine and relaxing in a hammock.

HOT CHIP ALERT!   HOT CHIP ALERT!!
Bring your togs everyday.  Don't forget to try to have a litterless lunch as there are rewards available. If our class wins the most litterless lunch, we could win a hot chip lunch!  If Room 11 are very tidy and we win the Tidiest Cloakbay Award at whole school assembly, there is a hot chip lunch.

Swimming is daily in Term 1.

Please remember to bring a hat. School hat is best, but it's about staying sun safe so a hat. Otherwise the cruel rule no hat, no play comes into force and you will have to stay on the deck.

It is best to apply your sunscreen at home before school but there is sunscreen available at school and there is time built into the timetable to ensure all children are sunsafe.
