The BFG

We have been listening to The BFG by Roald Dahl being read aloud, mostly after lunch while drinking Milk in Schools' milk.

The students were on the edge of their seats as the Queen of England met Sophie on the windowsill after having just dreamt about meeting a girl sitting on the windowsill.

As a class we have been talking about dream jars, and mixing two dreams together, like the BFG did.

Today we looked at the other meaning of 'dream' - a personal dream - a goal. The students drafted their personal dreams on paper and then some students opted to digitise them. Others opted to decorate their dream jars with crayons, colours and glitter.

Check out the digital dream jars from the class.

    1. Hi Rebekah, it is a shame we couldn't make a real dream jar and have a light each. Maybe you could make one at home in the holidays?

    1. Hi Jelsy, what I like about the BFG is the dream jars. When you get as old as a giant, there are many dreams that have been placed on a shelf in our imaginations. Dreams that have yet to come true. So, yes, I do like the BFG.
